Apple iCloud Removal

Apple have introduced Activation Lock as a new feature for iCloud which locks your Apple device to your iCloud account. If you are using iCloud with Activation Lock, we require you to remove your device from your iCloud account before sending it to us.

If you are running iOS 6 or below, there’s no need for you to move your device from your iCloud account.

How to remove your device from your iCloud account

There are two options for removing your device from your iCloud account; you can remove your account using your device with option 1, or you can use a laptop with option 2. If your device is faulty, please follow the steps for option 2.

Option 1 – Using your device

  1. Select ‘Settings’ and click ‘iCloud
  2. Select ‘Find my iPhone
  3. Slide the ‘Find my iPhone’ button to ‘Off’
  4. Enter your password and select ‘Turn Off
  5. Return to ‘Settings’ and select ‘General
  6. Go to the bottom and select ‘Reset
  7. Select ‘Erase All Content and Settings
  8. Enter your phone’s passcode
  9. Select ‘Erase iPhone’

Option 2 – Using your PC or laptop

  1. Switch off your iPhone
  2. Log into using your Apple ID and password
  3. Click ‘Find my iPhone
  4. Select your device from the ‘All Devices’ drop-down menu
  5. Click ‘Remove from Account
  6. Click ‘Remove’ on the confirmation message
